Greatful

I have a grateful heart today.
I think that the lord puts people in your life at the right moments and knows when you are in real need of a hug, smile or friendship.
In my short time of being married I have been blessed with a wonderful caring and devoted husband who loves me and knows how to take care of my needs and to show his love for me. I am grateful for Tom.
I have been also blessed with amazing sisters in my life who have taught me by their examples and taught me to laugh at life and know that there will be ups and downs in your marriage, work and money but that their is always family and the ear and love that is offered when you need to cry or laugh. I am grateful for my sisters and sisters in laws.
I have a wonderful mom who is everything I want to be. I am very grateful for her example in everything she has ever done.
I am grateful that after 3 years of having not a friend at all in church that I am able to make a friend who cares about me and what is going on in my life. I am grateful for her calls just to see how work is going or if Tom had heard anything about schools.
I am grateful for this time of year when we can really see the good in people and they make it known to everyone, My heart is full and I wanted to say thank you.

Happy Anniversary

October 28 2006
It's amazing how fast 3 years will go by.
Well 3 years ago I married my best friend and soul mate. Our wedding day was great beside the fact that they lost Tom in the temple and I watched about 4 Brides who came in after me go off and get married, But they found him and we were sealed. Now 3 years later life has gone on, Its hard being so poor and trying to make ends meet, trying to figure out how I can make a weeks worth of food last for 2 or maybe if I'm real lucky 3 weeks. But somehow we do it, We fight through the tough times together and know that it wont always be like this, It will get better, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I am so grateful that the lord sent Tom to me that he knew that there was no one else that I could go through this journey with, No one else who could make me feel the way I feel about myself and how I see the world and want to be a better person for. I love my husband more than anything and I'm glad that our journey together is only beginning that I have this wonderful strong man to go through eternity with. I'm glad that they didn't loose him for good in the temple. :)
Happy Anniversary Tomtom I love you more than anything and I am glad your my husband.
xxoxoxoxo

I wanted to post my engagement video but our external hard drive is broken and we cant get to any of our pictures or videos so these are the few pictures I was able to grab, Hopefully I will be able to post more of them sooner rather than never.

Birthday

Another birthday has come and gone. This year all I really wanted was a massage, after all the ones I do everyday I really just wanted some me time, So thanks to my wonderful mom and dad who bought me a amazing massage and facial. That was the best way to start a birthday!!!

My sweet sisters both got me some really cute shirts that you can just throw on and not have to worry about the gs, which is always a plus. .....even though Amber kept my first present for herself. lol :)
I'm gonna have to say that one of my favorite gifts is the one that Jessica got me. Its a plastic muffin tray that you use in the play kitchen but she told me its so I can make muffins in it. LOL I love it. Nancy has the pictures so Ill post them once I get them. Nancy got me a warming blanket which I love since Tom doesn't turn the heat on till January, or sometimes February, so thanks Nancy I love it. And I love the flowers too!!!!!!! Rebecca got me a movie gift card with a max and Ermas gc.. but she told Tom that I get to pick the movie out not him. lol

Lastly was Toms gift.... There is a story behind it. Most of you know that we love to play games, its fun and we have spent many hours laughing till wee hours in the morning playing, Well I'm fine with all the games except for PIT. I don't know who has played it, but its just mass chaos and I hate it. there I said it.. So for the past 4 years Pit has been out of the Schmitt home because I wont play it. So a month of so ago I was looking for something at Ralph and Rebeccas house and I found a Lord of the Rings Risk.. Which is another game that I don't like but I showed it to Tom and told him I would only play because it was lotrs.
So one Night we were all sitting around and Nancy asked if I would play PIT if it was lord of the rings.. I said sure.. So Tom went to work and this is the result............
LORD OF THE RINGS PIT

Most of this I have to thank Doug because he design this on illustrator and emailed to Tom and Tom did the rest. For a few weeks now Tom has said he really needs to be at his parents house to work on "physics" and talk with Doug about "physics"but really the physics was this project.

Tom cut out the map and stained the whole box so it has Middle Earth on it. These are just a few views of the box.

It came with custom directions. When we start we say "So it begins" and when we finish we say "It is a gift" He even put green felt on the bottom so it will be easy to grab the cards out.
Instead of the Bear and the Bull we have the Eye of Sauron and The one Ring.
These are all the PIT cards, Tom thought really hard about who was the most important characters to me and made them the most points and so on.. Its a no brainier who it worth 100 points. I need to add that he hand cut all of them out and used a stamper to round the edges.
So After I opened the gift and laughed we decided to play.. and yep I loved it. We know the way to my heart. lol So Thanks Tom for this way cool gift and all the time and hard work he put into it. I love it. Now we just need a Twilight Pit. :)

Hard work pays off. :)

Well Thanks to EVERYONE for all the prayers and support that we received over these last couple weeks. Tom re took the DAT yesterday and he did so well!!! He went up in every category and his overall average went up. So it looks like we are sitting pretty. I'm thankful for a good husband who works so hard and spent so many hours studying biology and chemistry. I am so proud of him!!!

Utah Trip

Well Its official all the Schmitt kids are married. This year was Shari's turn so we all went out to Utah to see her get married. Tom and I along with his parents drove out to Utah. We took a longer route but we were able to see alot of cool places across the country. The drive at times was not so much fun but overall it was a really good trip. It was really good to see the family and see Shari get married, it was a beautiful wedding and Shari looked amazing. I just hate the fact that everyone lives so far away from each other.

So with that here's our Utah trip....

And so it begins.. Day 1 of 5.....
We Made it to Mamathon caves!!!! This was our first stop. I haven't been here since I was really little, I didn't remember much and forgot just how big this cave system is. This is the entry point to go into the cave. We had to walk down 160 stairs to get into the cave. Poor Ralph hit his head a few times on the way down and I had to bite my lip not to laugh at him.
We found out once we got into the caves that this was the best pictures we could take with out any light so Ralph has more of us in the caves since he has the better camera.
I remember this part of the caves from when Mom and Dad took us.
Us in the cave... I realized that on this trip we took alot of "Shari and Bryce" style of pictures. hehehe
This is stop number 3. Stop number 2 was Branson Missouri. We saw some shows there but didn't take any pictures.. Tom and I got into a magic show and I had to try and guess where the million dollars was hidden.. but of course I couldn't find it so we won 2 boxes of popcorn. And it wasn't even good popcorn.

This is the Salt mines In Kansas. We went down 650 feet into the earth where there was just miles and miles of salt. Mike Rowe from Dirty Jobs came here and did a show on these mines so if you find that episode you will see where we were.

I kinda have pig face going on here but oh well..
The mines have a perfect temperature to store anything that needs to be kept pristine. They had rows and rows of movies films, Props from movies etc. But the coolest thing was the news paper form the day after President Lincoln was shot.
Everybody freeze!!!! Lamest batman ever but cool to see the freeze down in the mine.
The last stop before going to Utah was Pikes peak. We took a Cog Railroad train up 14,214 feet to the top of Pikes peak. It was really pretty up there and you could see for miles. But it was also very cold.
The tour guide said that you can see 4 different states from up here..
On the way down.
Once we got to Utah we stayed with Doug, He took us on a night hike which was really cool and kinda scary. We saw some kind of eyes that we think was something that could of ate us. lol
So now the Wedding. Shari and Bryce got married in the Manti Temple. It was really pretty inside and of course the wedding was beautiful.
So just like last year I listened to Andrea Gigliotti and wore bad shoes.. so every chance that I found I was sitting down. :) Note to self wear flats at the next wedding.
Pretty temple.................................................................................. Cute couple. lol
I love the look on their faces. And Shari's dress is to die for! She looked so pretty!!!
The whole Schmitt clan. I think the one in the suit with the red tie is pretty handsome. :)
Shari's roommate made her cake. I think its awesome!!!
The reception......

This is sweet little Evelyn, I'm so glad Nancy lives so close to me for a couple reasons. One her kids are so dang cute and also because Shes a good sister in law and reminds me of my sisters and is just a good friend..
All I wanted was one picture of the brothers together just normal and smiling. Nope this is what I got over and over and over again. They would look down, to the left, up right....
Even with Doug. Oh well I guess this is what brothers do and really it perfectly describes all 3 of them together.
All 13 grand kids. Shari had all the girls wear these cute little dresses and the boys were in pink ties. Jack was not to happy in these pictures so you can see Chris trying to hold him in place and duck in the picture at the same time.
Us with the bride.
Tom with pretty Little Ashley. Jen you have beautiful kids.
Playing on the teeter totter.
Me and Jen.. If you were to mix both Amber and Andi into one person you would get Jen. So really she just rocks. :)
Dancing at the reception. I think its funny.
Trying to take a picture of all the grand kids. It went pretty well overall.

Well that's it, our trip out west. I know I say it all the time but I just really wish we all lived by each other. I miss my sisters and my schmitt side family all the time. But I guess that's why vacations are so nice.

Well I guess this is what grown ups do...

Well this is my life as we know it thus far... I don't have many things to post like everyone else, my life consists of Tom, Laundry, Cooking or trying to, Maybe reading, cleaning and yes massaging everyone else in the world.

I'm glad that Toms around he keeps things interesting.... and as of the moment is very much in love with playing with Seabass on XBOX to wee hours in the morning shooting zombies. Or I should correct myself Nazi zombies.
Its sad to say but since this new job this is really the best thing that I have made for dinner. Yes Peanut butter and Jelly sometimes I switch it up and use honey... I think I just won the wife of the year award.
The Apartment that I might add is falling apart never seems to be or stay clean so this is me.. But my Vacuum looking nothing like this.
Yes the Job... If I worked on people who looked like this everyday life would be great.. but no I get hairy, stinky, nasty feet people. And some people don't even tip... Boo on them! But hey the pay is amazing so I am grateful for this job. If my arm doesn't fall off soon I might be able to enter a arm wrestling contest and maybe even win!
Well about every other night I am doing laundry. Not even on my own clothes, it SHEETS SHEETS SHEETS!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! It never ends!!!!!!!!! So I am very grateful to a great MOM AND MOTHER IN LAW who let me use their machines to do this. THANK YOU!!!
And then I guess if I am lucky and have not passed out at the end of the night I might be able to read some kind of good book. Maybe...

Sad day.. poor Tom

Well here's the update on what happened to my Tom. He took the DAT today and I'm very sad to say that he didn't get the scores that he needed. So in 3 months we will be taking it again. He was sad today and to make things worse while sitting on the couch at his parents he got stung by a wasp on the thumb. BOOOOO!!!!!
But on the bright side now he knows what the actual test looks like, so this time around he will do so good. So I want to thank everyone for all the support, love, fasting and prayers that you all gave to Tom. We appreciate it. I guess going to Cedar point will be really good for us Thursday.

And on a happy note I think I got a new job that they want me to start this Saturday. Little nervous about not giving a 2 week notice but this job will be amazing. So to all of you who read this today pray that tomorrow will go so good and that I will get this new job.

Oh yea its at a chiropractic clinic being the massage therapist.
Wish me luck!

Just kidding his test is on TUESDAY!!!! we think that this a blessing due to all the fasting.. which will lead to more time for him tp prepare!!!

Chicago

So this weekend Tom and I went to Chicago. I know totally last minute. We were going to go away with the whole Schmitt clan but plans changed and it wasn't going to happen. Tom was sad. He really needed to get away for his mental health. He has been working like a banshee trying to balance school, the Kapland course and trying to work in there some where. So he deserved this.. So Friday as I was getting out of work Tom told me that I needed to try and find us a cheap hotel in Gurnee Chicago. That there was a six flags that was open and we were going to it. So I did and packed us up so when Tom got home we could jump in the car and drive 4.5 hours to Gurnee Chicago. We got a cheap hotel and stayed there for Friday and Saturday. Then our plan was to go to Chicago and see the city on Sunday.. We had a really good time. Yes I really want kids but if we had them there would be no way that we would of been able to do this, so I am thankful for the time that we have together so we can have these experiences together.. but kids would be nice:) Anyway here is some pictures from our trip...

Tom and I in front of the entrance of Six Flags. It was a really nice park and there wasn't alot of people there so we were able to ride everything at least 2 times. After the Dark Knight ride.. I'm trying to be tough like Batman. And yes I know I look like a Fat Mexican in all these pictures.... its the coat and layers.

Superman Ride. Very fun.

Us..:)

You know that creepy guys from the six flags comericals?? Well I hate him, But Tom made me take a picture with him.

After Six flags we drove over to Lake Michigan. It was so pretty and Big, I forget how much they look like oceans. There was a lighthouse ( which is was I am holding on to) so we stayed there for awhile and took pictures and watched the sun set. It was kinda romantic.:)

Tom by the lighthouse.

Us by Lake Michigan

Lake Michigan

I think this is a cool picture.. good thing I don't have anything in my nose right?? lol

So then on Sunday before Tom and I walked around Chicago we went to the Shedd Aquarium. It was amazingly cool. We got there right when it open so we were able to have the place to our selves and we got to see alot. They have a really cool shark exhibit but it was to dark so none of the pictures showed up, but they were big and kinda scary. We took so many pictures I had to pick only some of the favorites.

This big thing kept following me around the fish tank. Creepy it lives in streams in Thailand.

This one was a favorite of Tom. Duh.........

They had a great lake section and this was the first thing we saw, a Huge snapping turtle. Sick its so big and it had algae all over it.

This is a spider crab.

They had all these jellyfish in this tank and the light would change colors. I really like jelly fish they are really majestic and beautiful.

And now Chicago. After we got out of Shedd we walked down Michigan Ave. It was cool to see the big city, we didn't go to the Sears Tower. It was to far to walk and we wanted to get home. And really I don't think its that tall. But Tom says yes it really is.

While we were walking down Michigan Ave there was this big mirror Bean. It was really funny and cool so we stopped and took some pictures with it.

Us inside the Bean

Me in the Bean

Tom in the Bean

I say Cool alot in this post.... Kinda funny
