Hammy Hamstine

Well everyone meet Hamstine. I thought since Amber and Andi are posting pictures of their babies then I should post a picture of my baby. :) She likes to eat lettuce.

Here is her cage, Tom did lots of research on what was the best hamster to get, what kind of cage.. you name it, he looked it up.

Shes good about letting us hold her and she cuddles so that's good, I enjoy that.

We almost have her trained to come out of the cage all on her own, When we first got her we would trick her into coming out of the cage with lettuce but now when we open the door she comes out on her own.
Well I think she is cute and she makes me happy, So thanks Tom for getting her for me.

Blanket 2 years in the making,

Well here is Toms blanket. 2 years later and its still not done, but its good enough for now. First of all he had these jeans that he wore kinda alot when we were dating that were pre mission and not in the best shape, if you know what I mean ( Sorry hunny). So I thought Hey it would be a really good idea to cut them up and make them into a blanket for him so he can still have them but not wear them.:) So I got some of my old jeans and other family jeans and put them together to make this Quilt. ... Easier said then done. Notice how all the pieces are not the same. I never made a quilt before and didn't think that it would be that hard. I should of had my mother in law help me but no I cut the pieces in all crazy shapes, which led to a very long and hard process of me trying to piece and sew it. OH THE SEWING!!!! So it was getting closer and closer to Christmas and I pieced it but the edges weren't done and there were some holes in it, but I gave it to him. I think he liked it. ha ha.. So that same Christmas Tom got me a sewing machine... yea I just opened it a few weeks before this Christmas and it was broken. wa waaaa.... So there went my plan to fix it this Christmas.

But we were really poor this year so I really wanted to finished this quilt for him, I ended up going to Joannes and getting the fabric adhesive that you just iron on. It worked well enough to finished it for Christmas, My sewing machine is still broken so I cant fix it yet but when it is fixed I will sew everything on so it looks good and wont fall apart. Tom likes the blanket now and he uses it, I'm just constantly asking him if it is still together while hes sitting there. All in all I am mostly pleased with the results and will know better the next time to cut the pieces the same way. ha ha
And yes the more I look at it in this picture I can see that it is crooked. :(

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas!!! This was a good Christmas, we were kinda poor this year but that I think made it better, because we were able to focus on the real meaning of Christmas. I'm sad that we didn't take alot of pictures of what has been going on, so I Only have a few to share.. OK this is not all our our gifts, See the little hand?? That is Jessica so excited to open all her gifts which turned out to be mostly for her and Jack. But it is still fun to see all the gifts under the tree. It makes it feel like Christmas morning.

Just waiting to start opening the gifts. I will have to take a picture and post the gift that I made for Tom, it was a Jean blanket 2 years in the making but I am really proud of it and he really likes it. Not sure why but my head looks really flat in this picture..

Lastly Our little Christmas tree, (well its really not little.) Thanks Jim and Cathy it was a wedding gift or more like a lets furnish your apartment gift form them among many others things. :)
I had all the lights on the tree but you cant see them, but it looks pretty.
